May 28 and 29 Instructions

App Soft 30S
Work on the 20-30 second promo video for your section of REC. If you are not sure which section of the school you are doing, check the wiki under Final Cut Express.
Make sure that you have a quick title, lots of action on the screen, and good music. Leave 2 seconds of black before you add your credits (your name and where you got images and music).
If you need more images go to the Photo Archive.
If you just have one picture at a time or just some video on the screen you will fail.

Networking 40S
  1. Finish any Cisco tests you haven't done.
  2. Do all the questions on the Cisco exam review sheet.
  3. Plan the users and organization units you will create when you have your turn on the server.
  4. No games


April 21 and 22

Monday and Tuesday Instructions

Networking 40S
Three Cisco tests (6, 7, and 8) are activated - do them over these two days.
When you are not working on the tests you are to:
  • finish the Linux labs if you are not done.
  • Do the assignment on our web page called "Network Users Project." You may do this on paper or type it out and email it to me (preferred method)
After this, the next project will be the school network map. You can start thinking or planning for this one.

Networking 40S
Over these two days you are to:
- do the Gmail assignment that is on our web site and email it to rredekopp@retsd.mb.ca
- do Worksheets - 1.2.8, 1.3.5, 2.2.5, 2.3.2, 2.3.3, 2.4.3. Copy the text from the PDF file into Notepad or Word, fill in the answers and email it to rredekopp@retsd.mb.ca
If all the above is done ---

- Do the Research - Trends assignment (under the Gmail assignment)
Applications Software 30S
Finish and hand in all the Garageband assignments
Work on the Photoshop assignments 1, 2 and 3 and hand them in when you are done.



December 13 Instructions


App Soft -
Plan your final movie, do the storyboard, and start making your text in Final Cut Express. You can do the titles, credits and others text you may need. You should also be thinking about your sound track, and can be recording 'voice overs' that you will need. Divide the tasks among your group members
Multimedia
Do Flash Assign 3, and then start planning the game or online store that you will create. You will need an opening scene, instructions, and the game/store. The game will have to keep track of levels and points while the store will keep track of items chosen and cost. You may start creating the characters or objects that you need.
Basic Design
Do the test called "Flash Test 1" near the bottom of the page (NOT the quiz) - make sure your name is in the movie somewhere. Change the colour scheme to one that you like better.
Hand it in when you are done.

Final Cut - Test 1
Create a 20 second video with
A file name of MyName - FCTest (save it right away and save often):
  • One of the following titles - Working and Eating Healthy, Vacation Exercise, Vacation Fine Dining, or a theme of your choice
  • Your name and sources for images, sounds and video in the credits
  • A background for part of the video that is one of your PS creations (it can be a new creation). Use a JPG version.
  • Two other still images
  • At least four transitions that work well with the motion or objects in your clips
  • At least two keyframed motion sequences (change in size or rotation or position)
  • A music track with at least two different music pieces. The music must fade in and out.
  • At least 3 sound effects
  • At least two video filters
Hand in the test when you are done.
Work on Video 4 assignment

Multimedia 40S
Flash Test 1
Create Flash movie in which has:
1) A Start button -the button starts the ball object moving around the screen
2) A ball – the ball moves around the screen bouncing off the walls (you choose the speed)
3) A ‘goal’ – this can be a rectangle or other shape. When the ball bounces off it – points (your choice) are added to the score.
4) Text on the screen– "Score"
5) A text box to hold the score (put in the variable name)
6) Your name on the screen somewhere
The above will count for 80% of the mark.

7) BONUS – to get 20% more you need to do two of the following
a. Allow the user to change the speed of the ball
b. Change the ball colour (randomly) every 100 points or so
c. Allow the user to move the ‘goal’
d. Add some similar features of your own
